Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Will the CRN help me find resources for my clients? We hope so! First, check 211 to find out if the service or resource you are looking for is available in your area. If you are unable to find what you are looking for through other service providers; if you or your client experiences a barrier to accessing a needed service; or if a need is potentially difficult to fulfill, the CRN may be able to help. At this time, the CRN’s Terms of Use specifies that requests must be for Community Members within Marion County.

  2. Who can join the CRN? Anyone who represents an entity that serves community members in Marion County. An entity may be a government office or agency, an educational establishment, a private non-profit organization registered in Oregon, or a private for-profit business registered in Oregon.

  3. Can I join as an individual? Yes, but only as a Donor. An applicant may choose “Community Member” for Organization on the application, and this allows them to see and fulfill requests, even if not affiliated with an organization. Members who wish to make requests must be affiliated with an organization to ensure that all members represent documented and verified entities.

  4. Can I join if my organization wishes to help by procuring goods or donating funds? Yes! A member may represent an organization as a Donor if the organization would like to only fulfill requests or donate funds to be used to fulfill requests. Individual members who represent Requester organizations are also permitted to fulfill requests.

  5. Can more than one person from my organization join? Yes. There is no limit to the number of members who can join from any one organization.

  6. Am I eligible to become a member if my organization is located outside Marion County? What about organizations that serve both Marion and Polk counties? Yes. You are eligible if the organization provides services to residents of Marion County.

  7. Is there a cost to becoming a CRN member? Membership is free for anyone who meets the membership criteria as outlined in the Terms of Use.

  8. Who manages the CRN? The CRN was created in partnership with Marion County and Galaxux. Marion County hosts and administers the program and partners with Galaxux for program maintenance and future development. Galaxux has donated a license of this product to Marion County for its exclusive use.
